Charlie Brown met Emily when she invited him to be her partner for their after-school dance class. Charlie Brown described their first meeting as “an enchanted early afternoon” on the dance floor. When Charlie Brown shows up for the next class and asks about Emily, the teacher claims no one named Emily was enrolled in the class. Charlie Brown’s friends express skepticism that she even exists!
